Who We Are

In 1974 Bayview Hunter's Point Multipurpose Senior Services, Inc. started the Bayview Hunter's Point Adult Day Health Center in which we provide Health & Social Services for frail elders & disabled persons with chronic illnesses, including nursing, physical and occupational therapy, social work, recreation, speech therapy and nutritional counseling. Getting homebound elders out the home with wheelchair accessible transportation and we also provide support for caregivers and independence for participants.

What We Do

The Bayview Hunters Point Adult Day Health Center was created to provide social, psychological, medical, and rehabilitation support to the elderly, and those adults challenged by disabilities.  We offer programs and services that promote personal achievement, encourage self-expression, and lead to greater independence.

We serve those with:

• Alzheimers/Dementia
• Developmental Disabilities
• HIV/AIDS
• Limited Mobility
• Incontinence
• Stroke
• Multiple Sclerosis
• Traumatic Brain Injury

Adult Day Centers strive to:

• Help participants maintain maximum independence and age close to their families and communities.
  
• To give caregivers a much-needed break in which to attend to personal needs

Adult Day care is a planned program of activities designed to promote well-being through social and health related services.

Our center operates from 10:00 until 2:00, Monday through Friday, in a safe, supportive, cheerful environment. Nutritious meals that accommodate special diets are included, along with an afternoon snack.

 PROGRAM FEES:

 For participants eligible for Medi-Cal, and with significant medical needs, program fees may be covered by Medi-Cal.

A sliding scale fee schedule is available for other participants.   These fees are based on the income received monthly by the participant.
